Social Media Update 1-1-21
Happy New Year!
As my holiday vacation is winding down I took some time to schedule out social media posts for this next week. Every day we will publish at least one canned post just to stay in front of people and create some engagement. I would like to encourage this team and then ultimately the entire staff and consistory to make sure they are interacting with this content, commenting, liking, sharing. All of this will boost our content organically.
I will begin meeting with the staff to determine what classes and activities we will be hosting for the remainder of the Winter and into the Spring and how to best promote/share those on our social platforms.
Still working on other forms of weekly content
At this point, I do not have a reason to call a meeting, with the Holidays not much has happened worth reporting on other than what I have been sharing in these posts. As we move forward and start to do more then we can discuss those plans and the results we are seeing. I will be creating a “Social Media Performance” document and I will share that with you as it is fleshed out.
One last thing I want to share with you is a resource that I came across a couple of years ago that is an interesting way to measure church growth. Now this resource has been retooled to talk specifically about a post-pandemic world, but the information is still relevant. Traditionally church growth has been measured by attendance and giving. This document shows some other ways to measure. Granted much of this is outside this group’s scope, but I wanted to share it regardless: link here
