OMT Update 12-9-20

Good afternoon OMT,

First, thank you for a great first meeting. I am excited to see where things go with these efforts.

I created this page as an easy way to share with you what I am working on, rather than sifting through emails trying to find that ONE thing, they will all be here.

So what is the current status of things since our last meeting:

  • How to improve the Sunday Online interaction
    • This one is a high priority for me as this is how the majority of the people are experiencing Sunday morning
    • We are going to show content specifically for the online audience, making sure they are directly welcomed and seen
    • This will either be live on Sunday morning or recorded each week. We will experiment with the flow of each
  • Define short video concepts
    • As we talked about the small bite-size content is highly consumed in today’s video culture, how can we capitalize on this?
      • Ask and answer a question in less than a minute
      • Turn weekly check-ins into short videos
      • Create short devotionals centered around sharing a personal story
      • This concept will live or die by staff buy-in
      • Need to make this easily accessible for staff to record
  • Work on the easy wins for social media
    • Cohesive branding and message across all social platforms
    • Explore merit in new social media channels
    • First-time guest resources
    • Baptism
    • Membership
    • Teaching series (a video preview from Trent on what the next series is going to be about)
    • Ask for prayer requests
    • Sunday Setlists
    • RightNowMedia content

So that is where I am at and what I am working on right now.
